Irving International Women’s Consortium
Irving International Women’s Consortium (IIWC) is an intercultural group of women representing twenty nationalities, fifty professions, and a multitude of religious and cultural backgrounds, with the purpose of equipping women to become effective leaders in the community through personal and professional development.
IIWC is an opportunity for the women of Irving to join together as a community to celebrate the beauty of their differences as individuals and the uniting force that encapsulates us all. IIWC began as a small collective group of ten women, each representing a different culture or ethnicity and has grown to include thirty cultures and over twenty nationalities. The IIWC’s phenomenal approach serves as a springboard to empower women to take charge of their lives and to collectively explore and honor their multicultural uniqueness. Its approach carries with it long-term benefits for the community, including an opportunity to expand into a rich educational resource through partnerships with Northlake College, lecture series, and quarterly workshops. The IIWC’s vision crosses every cultural barrier and instills in each woman a sense of equality, laying at their feet the resources they need to fulfill their inner potential and significantly impact their families, their communities and their organizations with lasting results.
The Irving International Women’s Consortium (IIWC), is a young organization with a mission to educate, support, and create opportunities for women of all races, cultures, and ethnicities thereby empowering their energy and skills to be realized in the community. Empowering and releasing diverse energy into the community allows each women to step into, and excel in, new found leadership roles. The success of IIWC lies in its ability to focus on the thread of diversity and interweave it into each of its programs. That clear respect for the insights of others, and the various stages each woman is at in her personal growth, strengthens the whole and expands the vision outward to the community. It is this strong commitment to celebrating the ebb and flow of ideas, cultures, and thought that is the foundation of IIWC and takes its success beyond mere numbers and statistics.
